Ah yes. I've got two. Not a huge demand for engineering books here in past years, I'm afraid.

Also, do you have any experience with novels in their original language? I'm trying to find a French copy of Dumas' "Hunchback of Notre Dame."

I think we've got the English somewhere, but not the French.

You know camp is for like.. not books, right?

Well, not for the outdoorsy types! But I'm sure some children appreciate it.

You should encourage the children to get outdoors more. Our society is becoming a bunch of fatasses anyway.

We've got nature hikes, horseback riding, swimming, archery, and all sorts of outdoor options. I don't think one voice advocating a little reading will go terribly amiss.

But if you're concerned, why don't you try organizing some activities yourself? Maybe a reading walk of some kind, where you walk along and somebody reads aloud from Homer?

Not at all! Just as long as there's still room for everybody.

There should be. Only a few parents signed their kids up for language enrichment. Which is just as well since I don't actually know Spanish or Mandarin. Just French. I have books though. Two days per language? How much do I need to know other than how to count and say "my name is," right?
