You already told me your name.. I meant what did you do before or why are you here or something that actually makes you who you are.

Oh, this and that. It's rather a dull story, really. Raised by my mum, did a stint in the military, got home, spent all my money - not in riotous dissipation, you understand. Simple cost of living. Took a government job after that. And then I wound up here.

And what makes you you, Mr. Darko, if you don't mind my asking?

What did you do for the government?

I don't know. I'm pretty smart, I guess, and I have some mental problems. I was just a student. I started being able to see time, when Frank came and created the tangent universe. I haven't seen it since I got here, though, so maybe it was just a fluke of the universe.

Ah, universal flukes. I can't say I encountered many of those before arriving here. Do they happen around you often?
