I must say, I've been rather enjoying this little bit of peace and quiet. I've only been on board about two months and already I've been brainwashed, visited ancient Rome, dealt with two takeovers, and it seems that's the normal state of affairs here. How dull life would be without the occasional adventure, though a solid breather every now and then seems quite healthy.

And while it's fresh on my mind, and a tip of my hat to the kitchen staff. I believe I've gained at least a few pounds since my arrival, all thanks to your superb cooking.

I also find myself curious about your life story. It might do you some good to talk to someone about it, and I'd like to hear a bit more about this second World War. As though the original wasn't disaster enough.

[Sunday afternoon, and Tommy is briskly knocking on his inmate's door, ready for a nice few hours of billiards, indoor forests, and discussing history.]

[Howard is pulling on his jacket as he opens the door.] Do come in. I'll only be a moment. [He smooths his mustache and goes over to his writing table. There is a typewriter there and a stack of pages that has gotten unruly. Howard pulls a finished one out of the machine and sits it on top before straightening the stack.]

[Tommy steps inside and takes a curious look around.] "Is that a play you're working on?" [he asks, hopeful that Campbell is doing something productive and engaging with his time instead of being terribly bored.]

[Howard puts the papers in a folder and closes it.] It's...I'm not sure what it is, what it will be.

[he smiles lightly.] Shall we go?

"Yes indeed!" [Tommy says brightly, holding the door open for Campbell.]

[Howard steps out and waits for Tommy to side with him. It will be good to stretch his legs.]

Things have been quite lively on the Barge of late...

[Tommy falls into step with Campbell as they head for the stairs.]

"They certainly have. And I can't help but be given the impression that this is quite normal."

I suppose one man's normal is another man's bizarre. [Howard chuckles lightly.]
